Dev Log #6


This week we have gotten most of our environmental design down - while more details would certainly make for better visual storytelling, we do have coherent levels that can be walked through. We did initially have some issues with being able to paint the landscape in the Elven Village level - which we later determined was due to there being no World Partition, which meant no landscape Streaming Layers were being generated. 



We also integrated the So Stylized Environment System, as the Stylarts Asset packs we began with did not include any landscape assets, which made building a more detailed environment challenging. The So Stylized System included solely landscape elements, including a sky system and water, which filled in most of those gaps. 

I forgot to mention in the last log, but we did unfortunately lose the programmer half of our team due to unforseen issues, so have been working to recreate the systems we expected that half of our team to create. This has put us back a bit, but we're going to do the best we can to continue on!
