Dev Log #10
This week, we continued our previous work on environmental design, the Quest and Inventory Systems, and other mechanics - while also attempting to create story dialog with branching choices using the Story Framework System. While this system is designed for branching dialogue choices, the trigger dialogue did not seem to activate properly - most likely a conflict with how other ineraction systems are set up. Unfortunately, we were not able to resolve this issue in time for our class deadline - but it was a fun system to test for creating story options!


While we were not able to create as much of a game as we hoped, we did get a significant amount of experience through trial and error during this project.
Now that we have reached the end of the class portion, our plans are to restart this project form the ground up - fully fleshing out the branching narrative, creating more original assets including characters and environment, and getting more time to develop our mechanics and systems to work as we intend them to.
